Website care and tech help for nonprofits and small businesses.
Think of me as your part-time IT department.
I'm Jenn Howe. For nearly 30 years I've built and looked after the websites, databases, and technology that small organizations run on. I'll keep yours working, so you can get back to your mission or your business.

Security and updates
Your WordPress site needs updates every week, and nobody has time to keep up. With AI making attacks faster and cheaper, an out-of-date site is an easy target.
A site that stays up
One missed update or plugin conflict can take the whole site down, usually the week of your appeal or your busiest season. And nobody is sure who has the domain login.
Systems that talk to each other
Your website, CRM or donor database, ERP, and fundraising or accounting software don't connect, so someone retypes it all and the numbers never match.
A site your staff can update
Changing a photo, a date, or a news item means calling a developer, and the site looks more dated every year.
Still running on paper
Intake forms, sign-up sheets, and applications get filled out by hand and retyped, and years of records sit in a filing cabinet only one person can navigate.
Staying in touch
Newsletters, appeals, and campaigns go out when someone finds the time, if they go out at all.
Every one of them is fixable.
Your site, looked after every month.
You keep writing your own content. I handle the structural and technical work that feels risky to do alone, and keep the platform and every plugin current, since plugins are where most security holes are found.
Website Care
From $225/month
A standard informational site, with 3 hours of requests a month.
Website Care Plus
From $795/month
A working site: online store, events and registration, donations, member areas, or a database behind it. 10 hours of requests a month.
Need more hands? Extra hours can be added to either plan; we set the amount in your proposal.
Nonprofits: your anniversary month is on me. Every year on the month you started, Website Care is free, my contribution to your mission.
Both plans start with a one-time onboarding month ($750–$1,500, depending on the state of the site): cleanup, accounts in your name, and the list of small fixes you've been meaning to get to. What's included →
Every month after that
- ✓Core, theme, and plugin updates, tested after each round
- ✓Security monitoring and uptime alerts
- ✓Backup verification
- ✓Monthly test of forms and donation links
- ✓Broken link scan and fix
- ✓Up to 3 hours of requests each month
- ✓A monthly visitor report: who's visiting, what they read, and where they came from
- ✓A quarterly review of speed, mobile, and plugins, with improvements based on your visitor data
Month to month, no contract. Either of us can end it with 30 days' notice, and you keep everything.

Hi, I'm Jenn.
I've been building websites for small businesses for nearly 30 years. For more than 25 of those years I've also worked with nonprofits on websites, technical support, program management, marketing, and outreach.
Today I work in corporate IT across marketing, design, software development, and program management, and I bring that same discipline to every organization I work with.
I know what it's like to be the one who has to make it all work with no IT department. I live on a small hobby farm in Vassalboro, Maine, with three dogs, a few chickens, and an assortment of other animals, and I work with organizations in person across Maine and remotely everywhere else.
